When I was in high school sex and the city was by far the best show on tv.. Me and my girlfriends would gather on my mothers couch and watch so intently ..no one could speak , or comment until the show was over. And when my best friend from high school told me that she was getting married it made me so excited because I knew her bachelorette party would be amazing! We all used to joke and say which character in the show best fit our personality and that became our nick name.... So if you have a love for the show like we did you will appreciate this. If you thinking about hosting a sex in the city themed party there are a few things that you need:
1. Cosmopolitans as you remember cosmos we the girls favorite drink ... So we served the drinks in Rosé colored champagne saucers.
2. Instead of name tags we had we made buttons that said " I am a Samantha " or " I am a Carrie" we had one for each cast member and since that was a game we used to play it made so much since that the guest had to choose a pin that best fit there personality... I must say it was interesting to see how people saw themselves .
3. We only served appetizers because we knew no one wanted to cook all day long so we just ordered mini chicken bites, mini egg rolls, buffalo chicken puffs, and mini burger sliders.
4. The color scheme was hot pink with black and white... We didn't use plastic tableware we had real linens , real napkins and white square plates ( cellar).
5. The centerpiece for this party where hot pink heel... Some heel were filled with gems( crystals ) and others were filled with fresh white roses....they were amazing and som much fun to make.
6. . We also set the scene by having her tv on mute and playing sex in the city in the background.
And lastly after we had a lot of laughs we all got dressed and hopped in the limo and celebrated "sex in the city" for our girl in the city ! ..New York that is!

How many of you remember during the summer when you walked the broad walk you and your friends would pile into the photo booth to take the most ridiculous picture. Wasn't that fun...so what better way to share some laughter and create some good memories other than having a photo booth at your next event. Photo booth rentals are becoming a popular add on option for people who are looking for something different for their event. Whether it be your wedding or your birthday having a photo booth can bring some fun and excitement to the overall event.
Having a Photo Booth offer many benefits ..here at the top three reasons for having one at your event.
1. Party Favors : no need in worrying about what you can give as a favor because they create their gift . The cost of printing the pictures is usually included in the cost of the rental.
2. Memories-this one is so important .. You can ask your rental company if they can print your guest a copy and then save a copy for you . Whether its your wedding or your birthday you will want to hold in to all of those memories.
3. Hours and Hours of entertainment : It provides hours of entertainment for everyone! young ,old, and shy. everybody will want to a part of the fun!
Also make sure that the booth you choose is wheel chair accessible !!!!!

When you think of a destination wedding the first thing that comes to mind is a beach on a tropical island.....or aboard a cruise ship. But the definition of destination wedding is now changing. Destination weddings don't have to be on tropical island it can be anywhere that isn't home. Maybe it's where your family is from ..or maybe where you vacationed as a kid. Destinations can be so much more if you think out side the box. One of the best things about destination weddings is that if planned right all you have to do is show up. There will be no last minute stress about whether the florist will be on time or if the favors are done...because all will be done by your destination specialist.I encourage a few things if you are considering traveling abroad to say I do:
1. Contact the venue in which you want to get married at and get them to email you the wedding packages... Your wedding and your honeymoon can be combined in your package so you want to see it before hand.
2. Review the laws in marrying in another country because each country might have different laws than the US ( like Jamaica you have to be there for three days before you can get a marriage license to be married there)
3. Once the venue is booked call a hotel and block off rooms in the area so that your guest won't have to search on their own ( sometimes this is already included in your wedding package.
4. Once everything is booked and finalized with your venue and the hotel send out your save the dates ( Idea Alert: send out passport save the dates ...to ask your guest to sail away with you as you say I do ) also you want to give you guest adequate time to prepare. The earlier they know the more prepared they can be.
5, hire a wedding planner for here to sometimes it's best to have both .. For the added security of knowing that things are getting done on time and correctly.
Sometimes when couples decide to have a destination wedding they find that some of their close friends and family can't make it so they have a reception here once they return and if you hire a videographer they can record the ceremony and the guest that couldn't make can still see what happened on your day. Destinations are so much fun ... Hope this helps !

One of my clients was dating her now husband for 5 years and finally on Valentine's day 2 years ago he proposed!!! I was so excited for them both ...because they were finally taking that big step and getting married. During our first consultation where we discuss , Theme ,budget, color scheme and most importantantly the date he disclosed to me that he wasn't looking to get married until 2015! I was confused and I believe his fiance was to. She then posed the question how long is too long ? Well I believe that you both need to answer that question..marriage is a big step and hard work. So when getting married you both must be ready because if your not it may cause problems within the relationship. There is no time line for the engagement process...some couples get engaged and they are married within 12months ..but other couples get engaged and stay in the engaged stage for years. There is no right and wrong answer its only what feels right.
Discuss a date both of you listen to the other see what each others goals are before you just say this is the day I want to get married..marriage is not one-sided so this decision shouldnt be either! #living2plan

So you getting married in the spring but your favorite season is winter and you want a winter wonderland wedding...most people might find that to be a bit confusing and a bit difficult to pull off..well until now that is ! One of things that you need to remember is that all things are possible if you just believe......
1. its all about color...combining the right color with the right decor can transform any space
2.shop the clearance...if your not hiring a planner or renting your decor .. you can find good deals at some of the big department stores . You just have to know what to look for...do the math ..you'll be amazed at how much you can save at the end of a season
3. Create a design- draw up a diagram , gather pictures and make an inspiration board... Once you've gathered your thoughts it will make it easier to execute and shop!
4.Google is your friend.. Google has a wealth of information ... Type in your theme or your idea in the search engine and see what comes of it
5.call around ..certain colors ,flowers and decorations are only produced during that particular season.keep in mind that if you want something that is not normally produced may cost extra.

So you are at the point in your plannig process that you are ready to create your registry. Did you know that most couples return anbout 75% of thier gifts ? That means to me that couples register for things that don't really want or dont really need. So before you go and register for everyting in the store here are some tips that you might want to consider first:
1. Review the registry program of the leading stores...who offers the most and who has the bigger selection of merchandise.
2. Review what you have...one of the biggest reasons for returns is that couples register for things they dont need.so see what you have before registering for another coffee maker.
3. Discuss things with your partner before you arrive to the store so atleast you will have a game plan.
4.survey the land!!!! If you are going to a larger store go before you actually want to register..the benefit is that you know the layout and you are not walking around aimlessly through the store....registering could take hours if you don't know where to look.
5.print out a check list...these are so helpful because they tell you what you need and how many you need
6. Lastly HAVE FUN!!!!! While scanning merchandise talk to each other listen to each other...after all you both have to look at this stuff for the next few years so you both need to like it.!!!!!!

So he asked you and you said yes!!!!! This time leading up to your big day can be filled with a lot of anxiety and frustration..and most brides spend so much time being angry because things aren't going her way instead of using this time to enjoy your engagement . One sure way to enjoy being engaged is to have a party if course. Engagement parties are used for many different reasons :
1. To tell the world that your getting married
2. To let people shower you with gifts and best wishes
3. To let your family and friends see the other side of your relationship
4. ( most importantly ) to celebrate. With the people you love the new journey you and your beloved are about embark on .
I suggest that while planning your engagement party have some fun don't get so caught up in theme , decor, food, or even your venue because you have plenty of time to go over that while planning the big day. Enjoy it relax let your hair down and don't worry about the wedding just focus on enjoying your soon to be spouse . # living2plan

Most of us have seen the movie Monster in law and sadly to say more and more people are not getting along with their spouses parents. In the movie Monster in law Jennifer Lopez is engaged to a mommas boy and they are planing their wedding and she keeps budding heads with his mother. Throughout the whole movie they argue and the fight for his attention and its not until the end that they both realize how important each other is to the groom/son. If you are finding that your soon to be spouse and your parent is not getting along here are a few things that you should do:
- Take a stand .... you need to let both of them know(separately) that you love them and that no one can ever replace them.
- You need to make sure that they both understand how important the other is to you .
- make sure that they understand the role of the other.
- lastly make special time for each of them believe me it makes a difference
